Designed by the prolific and distinguished motion picture theater designer S. Charles Lee. The Garmar Theatre in Montebello opened on March 29, 1950 and became known as the ritziest of the Whittier Boulevard theaters. It was demolished in the 80's and became the site of the Garmar Plaza.
