This is a very nice service worn example of a Late WWII Korean War Era U. S. Marine Corps Issue M1 Helmet produced by Schlueter, as used during the Korean War Era and into the early Vietnam Conflict. The liner is a WWII CAPAC manufacture. The shell has some heavy oxidation on the interior. In World War II the production of the M1 helmet began in June 1941 and ceased in September 1945.
