Heilmann Elementary School
Acoustics By Design provided acoustical consulting and building systems noise control for the new Heilmann Elementary in Detroit, Michigan. The outdoor performance stage is used not only for elementary performance but also for use for community events. The surrounding stage surfaces were shaped for optimal projection to the audience. Located immediately outside the orchestra and band practice room, the stage provides ease of access for the musicians. An indoor performance stage was provided in the cafetorium for use when use of the outdoor stage was not possible or practical.
