The Gallery on Fulton
ABD Engineering & Design offered comprehensive acoustical consulting services for The Gallery on Fulton, a mixed-use development in downtown Grand Rapids that includes commercial spaces, residential apartments, parking deck, and performance venues. Our design work included: architectural acoustics, noise and vibration isolation, building systems noise control, and audio-video systems design. The anchor tenant for the project, The Urban Institute of Contemporary Arts, features a sophisticated blackbox theatre. In addition, there is a film theatre, which will be used for live performances and film screenings, as well as numerous gallery spaces for media of all types.
The building is expected to be LEED certified for green building features, including a geothermal heating and cooling system.
